In Conversation with Abigail Wright from Vivere Design LTD
Vivere Design LTD is a London based interior design studio, creating elegant & on-trend residential & commercial interiors. Working with private clients and developers with a focus of weaving the character and lifestyle of our clients into homes, whilst maximising the potential of any properties' market value.
What inspired you to be an interior designer?
My past life was in the corporate world, a complete lack of doing creative stuff. A girlfriend was studying interior design, seeing her work gave me this new direction and allowed me to feed my soul again. I always made my environment a beautiful space so it's very natural for me to do this for others.
If they were to make a toy action figure of you, what would your accessory be?
I'd be a Mermaid and my accessory would be a Nautilus seashell... I love the ocean and the beautiful form of these shells. It would help me float too...
To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life within the design world has taken?
Building & nurturing relationships both socially & professionally has been the best way for me to gain new business and experience.. sometimes that's accidental but of course, you have to put yourself out there. The interiors & product styling work I do has happened organically...
What would be your dream interior project?
A Boho luxury style boutique hotel by the sea.. somewhere like Ibiza or Mexico...
What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
I was a part-time florist when in University and for a few years afterwards.. so flowers, plants, and scents in the home are crucial to the living spaces we create. Bringing some freshness from the outdoors indoors.
If you could go back in time and speak to your adolescent self, what advice would you give them about the design world?
Work hard... be nice to everyone...
