What inspired you to be an interior designer?
When I became a property owner, over 20 years ago, it gave me the opportunity to realise my passion for creating and transforming a space.
I also spent many years working on projects for friends and family, as well as renovating my own home from something that needed a lot of work to something that I am really proud of.
The feedback from these projects gave me the drive to qualify as an Interior Designer and launch GeorgieRose in 2014.
If they were to make a toy action figure of you, what would your accessory be?
This is a very interesting question. I think a pair of virtual reality glasses in my favourite hue blush pink that would give me the power to visualise any room changes instantly!
To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life within the design world has taken?
For me, it has been taking the plunge to run my own business. My aim from the start was to try and change what can sometimes be a slightly pretentious opinion of the world of Interior Design with a view to making it more accessible for all
What would be your dream interior project?
I would love to be involved in designing the interiors of a boutique hotel in Dubai
What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
I always strive to ensure that my clients are inclusive within the design decision-making process. It is important to me that my clients feel that they also get a personal sense of achievement from the finished space
If you could go back in time and speak to your adolescent self, what advice would you give them about the design world?
Be brave and experiment, the end result will be better than playing it safe.
