Spacelab Interiorismo Tropical
Spacelab interiorismo tropical is a design project founded and led by a group of creatives from different parts of the world. Based in Riviera Maya and Ciudad de México, this project surged as an answer to the growing industry of construction, taking advantage of the great opportunities presented by the international market in this region. Spacelab is a collaboration of local producers and suppliers of construction and furnishing services.
What inspired you to be an interior designer?
To improve people's lives through the power of design and well-planned spaces.
If they were to make a toy action figure of you, what would your accessory be?
A dj bear.
To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life within the design world has taken?
I am an independent entrepreneur, design world and work has given me the tools to develop my own career and business always thinking not just to help my clients but my friends and family. Design is not a luxury it is a necessity.
What would be your dream interior project?
A full tiny eco-village where the interior and exterior would be truly connected.
What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
To give life to a space, not just making things match, sometimes it is not about buying or adding things, most times has much more to do with our connection and the way that we live our own spaces. Our home is us, we need to take care of it, as much as we take care of our minds and bodies. Everything is connected and I truly understand this connection.
If you could go back in time and speak to your adolescent self, what advice would you give them about the design world?
Keep your eyes open, learn as much as you can and more important than anything, develop your own philosophy about what you want to do with your passions and keep practicing, even if you are not being paid, rewards come in different ways when you truly want to help to make this world better.
